Offering individuals who are engaged in the Leeds Drug Treatment and Recovery System the opportunity to support others as part of their own recovery.          
     

Are you 18+, living in Leeds, and engaged with the Leeds Drug Treatment and Recovery System and interested in offering support to others ?

         
   
   
   
if so our peer mentoring service could be for you    
     

We offer:

  • A 6 week accredited induction course covering Peer support skills and an Introduction to Mentoring through the Open College Network.
  • Support from the Peer Mentoring Manager with Self-development goals.
  • The opportunity to take part in time limited placements within the Safer Leeds Treatment and Recovery Service.
  • An opportunity to support and build a recovery community in Leeds.
  • Travel costs when Peer Mentoring.

The Peer Mentoring Project can help you along your own road to recovery.

Here is the process:

Recommended into Peer Mentoring Project by worker

Complete application form and have1 -1 chat with Peer Mentoring Manager
  downarrow  
If accepted, invited into the Peer Mentoring Induction Programme, running for 6 weeks.
  downarrow  
Inducted into the staged Peer Mentor roles within Structured Day Programme at Multiple Choice which last for 3 months.

Supported to take up a placement at another drug service in the Safer Leeds Treatment and Recovery System for 3 months.
 
  downarrow  
Supported to exit the project into employment, education,volunteering and training.
